Using Samba in a Windows Environment as a PDF Printer

I've recently created a Samba printer at my office that converts print jobs to PDFs. This is noting terribly new and there are a couple of HOWTO's out there. What I'll post here though is the difficulties in configuration that I have come up against and details on the measures I took to integrate it into our Active Directory environment for added security.
